Paris Bedroom: Ideas for Decorating Walls

Decorating Your Walls for a Paris Themed Bedroom is as Easy as 1-2-3!

Even though this sounds simple enough, sometimes decorating gets very overwhelming, and you just don’t know where to start.

Here are a few ideas to make it simple…

1. Decide the Color of the Paint

Generally, when decorating for a Paris theme, you will use mostly black, white, and gray colors or shades of those colors. I suggest a soft shade of gray for your walls, with white baseboards and door/window frames. Also, a pretty ivory would be nice, if gray doesn’t appeal to you. You may not be planning to paint your room, if so, just skip this step.

2. Add Framed Posters or Art Prints

Eiffel Tower Poster

My favorite way to decorate any bedroom is with framed posters or art prints. You might imagine posters as being too cheap for a chic Paris bedroom theme.  But, even though they may cost less, posters and art prints, when placed in a nice frame, look fantastic! Select art that shows main destinations in Paris. An example would be the Eiffel Tower (like the poster shown here). (…Yes, that’s a poster! …doesn’t it look great?) These are fairly easy to find, and not too expensive if you do your own framing. The choices are endless! You will certainly find one you love.

This GB Eye Eiffel Tower and Car Poster, shown above, looks fantastic with the Eiffel Tower Duvet Cover. The turquoise color in each item complement each other in a nice way. It’s one of my favorite bedroom ideas.

3. Add a Wall Decal

Paris Wall Decals

Paris and/or Eiffel Tower Wall Decals are a unique idea. These are easy to apply to your wall and can be removed without ruining the paint. There are many different style choices. To keep it simple, you could use a decal of the word, PARIS.

> Extra Idea: You can also find wooden blocked words, such as LOVE or PARIS. I think these make really cool wall decorations.

For the Walls:

  • Art Prints
  • Posters
  • Wall Decals
  • Murals
  • Block Letters

In summary, simply paint for your walls in your color choice (if they need a paint change), and then add framed art, posters, and/or wall decals that complement the other colors in your room, such as your bedding or covered chairs. Now, you’re done!
